The Road to Narnia
OOC Rules
OOC Rules
I. Obey the Golden Rule - treat everyone as you would like to be treated.
II. No CRP. Period. We, as muns, have better things to do with our time than entertaining OOC drama. Keep it in high school where it belongs. The first offense will result in removal from the SL.
III. This storyline fluctuates between R and PG-13 ratings, but there is no X rating. Keep the steamy stuff for other stories unless your character is of legal age.
IV. Explicit material is forbidden from the message board and public rooms.
V. OOC is to be kept at a minimal in any room where IC is taking place.
VI. If you know nothing about the books (the movies won't always help you get by), do some research. The storyline is largely book-based.
VII. Please fill out the application in its entirety. If you're confused about something, talk to a moderator. We're here to help!
VIII. Character manipulation is not allowed. This is grounds for automatic application denial if you have not yet joined, and storyline removal if you have. Character manipulation is when a player goes out of their way with their character to gain the favors of another. The application you filled out is how you play your character, and development doesn't just happen overnight. If all you want is a romantic story with a Pevensie attached, you are DEFINITELY not in the right place...
IX. If you are the type of person to become offended if your application to join is denied, do not apply.
X. There is a no-name policy in this storyline. With the exception of the mod (Alex) and the forum administrator (Kyra), mun names are not only unnecessary, but unwanted. If you can give us good play with zero drama (we're serious about the drama - if you gossip, get lost), you're welcome here no questions asked.
XI. Should a problem or an issue be made clear to you in this storyline, we cannot stress enough that you need to act like an adult and solve it yourself, by approaching the person with whom you have the issue. If that fails, come to a mod to solve it. All questions pertaining to the SL can be handled by the person running it - as can most disagreements presented herein. This is not a "Harry Potter" storyline - if a friend brought you here, they will not be your "owl" mediator for the MST. If you feel like you can't talk to the moderator, then there's no need for you to be here. It's expected that all muns here can act like grown people. That includes but is not limited to grouping in private to talk about one person without inviting them. Furthermore, if you disagree with any executive decisions you are expected to speak up, because nothing changes with a silent voice. The mod isn't going to get angry if players have suggestions or disagreements. Anger has a tendency to take place when people can't speak up, and instead rely on the friends who recruited them because they can't speak for themselves. If you're going to use your voice, be polite about it. A bad attitude never got anybody anywhere, and all it would get you here is thrown out.
XII. If you expect or desire constant RP, do not apply here. An SL mod has a lot of expectations and things to take care of so that others can comfortably play. We refuse to be babysitters to referee complaints all day long; we reserve the right, after all our hard work, to play too. Speaking of hard work, many have jobs, illnesses, family engagements, vacations...this is not a storyline wherein you will be out of the running for some time due to a car accident or an unexpected family visit or loss of work. That is what a message board is for. We're very laid-back here, and we'll give you the freedom to enjoy your life and play here when you can, or when you want to. This is not a job, and we thank you for the time that you do choose to spend with us.
XIII. In light of the above, the staff feels it necessary to say that there are two sides to every coin. We are very understanding of IRL issues, but if you can't commit to playing at least once a week, you probably won't want to join here. We are very active writers; this message board is updated every day. We don't expect daily activity from our members, but we do expect them to at least try and keep up with each other.
XIV. The staff really didn't think we'd have to add this rule, but...no stealing. If you can't come up with your own work, or at least re-write something you took from Wikipedia, instead of copy and pasting a direct writeup from this site, you're not a writer...just a thief of other people's ideas. Please don't do it. It's rude, and hurtful when you find out it's been done to you.
